He started his cricketing journey in South Africa, representing Easterns Cricket at U15, U19, and U23 levels, before making his first-class debut in 2003 against Titans. His performance was impressive, scoring a superb 57 on debut against one of the toughest teams in the franchise.

Barresi later moved to the Netherlands, qualifying for national selection after meeting ICC residency requirements in 2009. He has since become a vital asset to the Netherlands national cricket team, contributing significantly as a right-handed top-order batsman and occasional wicket-keeper.

Domestic Career

In his domestic career, Barresi played for Easterns in the South African provincial system and was also named in a Titans academy squad during the 2002–03 season.

He made his first-class debut for Easterns against Northerns in 2004. After moving to the Netherlands, he played for Hilversumsche Cricket Club in the 2005 Dutch season and later switched to VRA Amsterdam.
