Joshua Patrick Inglis was born on 4 March 1995, in Leeds, England. He moved to Australia with his family when he was 14.

He loved cricket from an early age. Josh made his first-class debut for Cricket Australia XI in December 2015 and lost a debut in January 2017.

In the 2017-18 Big Bash League, Josh played for the Perth Scorchers. His maiden first-class century came in the opening round of the 2020-21 Sheffield Shield Season, a 153-run not-out against South Australia.

In England’s T20 Blast tournament, Josh Inglis scored two T20 centuries for Leicestershire County.
